Berntson Bhattacharjee is thrilled to announce The Drawing Room; an exhibition of new works on paper by emerging London-based artists, all inspired by the theme of Selfhood. Exhibited artists include Bart Hajduk, Catherine Repko, Hannah Tilson, Mary Stevenson, Olivia Sterling and Sola Olulode.
During the lockdown of 2021, due to the inability to access their studios, many artists experimented with works on paper. Working on a smaller scale and in this medium marked an intriguing turning point for many artists. Paper offered a less rigid canvas, fostering a sense of freedom and experimentation. As a result, numerous artists began exploring new subject matters and techniques during this period. The Drawing Room is a celebration of this art form and offers a glimpse into how various artists approached this versatile medium.
